What is the SCA? The SCA stands for The Society for Creative Anachronism. A much longer explanation of who and what we are can be found elsewhere, but for now, just know we think that playing with the past can be a lot of fun!
Some of us like textiles and sewing, some of us like fencing and fighting, and some like singing, dancing, and telling stories. Really, there is something for everyone. The range of interests people in the SCA have is astounding. And we are sure there is something here for you too.
What sort of interests and activities do people already participate in?

How do I participate?
Go to an event. Or reach out to us online. Local Province events can be found here, but the SCA is much bigger than our small Province. A list of events and activities throughout “The Known World” can be found on the SCA’s website by kingdom. The Province of the Mists is in the Principality of the Mists, located in The West Kingdom, so try there first.
While everything listed above is happening somewhere in the SCA, it is not necessarily happening near you. Local groups have different interests and strengths—which is only appropriate. You can probably find a local group pretty easily. Still, certain interests may require you to travel a little further afield. We are the Province of the Mists and cover these zip codes.
